The music you will find here was all written by prisoners and ex-prisoners. The songs reflect a wide range of human experience and reflect the real ups and downs of Christian life. You can download an mp3 and sheet music for these songs with an accompanying case study to use in church services or for personal use. To do this costs just £1 per song*.
Each song has a brief description of suggested use within a church context, but feel free to do your own thing. Our prayer is that this music will be used by churches in their services, as well as for personal worship, to help to create stronger links and understanding between churches, prisoners and ex-prisoners.
Christ spent so much of his time with the unloved, it is surely right that his church should do the same. Yet the average congregation member will have very little comprehension of what life is like in prison, or even how to find out. We hope that by using these songs, and hearing about the life stories of those who wrote them, churches and individuals will feel more connected with prisoners and thus will pray for them and support them more.
These songs will be added to, so please come back and discover more new music.
