Nicholas (Chair of trustees) is a retired Communications Professional including valuable experience in the Criminal Justice Sector. He has also served as trustee and chair in voluntary sector organisations.

Kathy has worked in the criminal justice system for over 30 years, including roles as a Senior Probation Officer and in the Prison Service Safer Custody Group. Kathy has also served the voluntary sector in many capacities, including the role of Vice Chair of the Samaritans.

Richard is a former Westminster Abbey and Oxford University Choral Scholar and now Commercial Development Consultant for an international recruitment company in central London.

Jim is Director of Fundraising for a large UK charity with over 20 years’ experience in fundraising and communications roles with national charities.


Philip Emery (Director) was appointed Director of Changing Tunes (London and South East) in 2013. Before joining the charity, Philip managed education and third sector work in prisons for 9 years, having previously gained 22 years’ teaching experience, including 8 years as a Deputy Headteacher. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) and a trustee of two small charities. He is a keen amateur musician, playing clarinet, tenor saxophone, piano and guitar. He plays in a small jazz group and runs a community concert band.
