“Hi, I’m Gareth. I’m a Welshman who’s lived in Wiltshire for nearly half my life.

 Running the London Marathon has been a dream of mine since I started running in my late 30’s and despite applying for a ballot place every year, I’ve never got in. Now, over 20 years later, I have been offered the chance to run jointly for St.James Place Charitable Foundation, and Changing Tunes. Of course I jumped at the chance.  I couldn’t be more excited!

 I am so proud of both charities and want to raise as much as I can for them.

 The work that Changing Tunes does really resonates with me. Music has been a life-long passion of mine, and as a (pseudo) musician myself and having played bass guitar in a number of rock, blues and jazz bands over the years (or  ‘old man music’, as my daughters call it!) I understand how music-making can be inspiring, motivating and give direction to your life. It’s wonderful to see CT giving this opportunity to so many young people who need a second chance.
