We are recruiting volunteers for the role of Trustee.

We are a Bristol based charity that uses the power of music to help people lead crime-free lives that are meaningful and creative.

  • Do you have the passion to make a difference?

  • Do you have the skills to help people turn their lives around?

  • Do you believe in the power of music to bring meaning to people’s lives?

We are looking for people who understand and support our aims and principles and who are willing to share responsibility for the strategic direction and governance of the charity.  Trustees attend meetings four times a year, in Bristol, usually on Tuesday early evenings. Additional activity may be requested on an hoc basis, for example, attendance at outreach events.

We aspire to have a diverse Board with a balance of skills, experience, backgrounds and knowledge, and we are particularly interested in hearing from:

  • People who have lived experience of the prison environment

  • People who have one or more protected characteristics

  • People based in the West Midlands

A full induction and training will be given.

Trustees are registered as Company Directors, limited by guarantee and identity needs to be verified through official channels.

You will be joining an established and friendly team of Trustees, volunteers and paid staff to help support an effective organisation that offers hope to people in contact with the criminal justice system.

If you’re interested, please email the Chair of the Board, Suzy Dymond-White at suzyjdw@gmail.com  to arrange an exploratory conversation.
